The man behind a pet grooming tool that exploded in the early 2000s is back with a new product for animals he says is promised to remove loose hair and reduce shedding.
In 2002, David Porter and his then-wife, Angie Porter, founded FURminator pet-grooming company in Fenton. The brand’s deshedding tools saw rapid success and eventually roped in annual sales of $40 million. The Porters sold the company for millions of dollars in 2008.
